Welcome to The New Consumer
Hi, I’m Dan Frommer and this is The New Consumer, a publication about how and why people spend their time and money.
I’m a longtime tech and business journalist, and I’m excited to focus my attention on how technology continues to profoundly change how things are created, experienced, bought, and sold. The New Consumer is a newsletter and website supported entirely by your membership.
- We’ll focus on the most interesting and innovative companies, people, products, and trends, highlighting what’s working (and what isn’t!), why things are changing, and where things are going next.
- If you care about — or compete with — Amazon, Instagram, Warby Parker, Sweetgreen, or Gimlet, you’ll definitely want to read The New Consumer.
- Our point of view is critical and analytical, but not cynical or angry. Our goal is to be essential to the most influential but approachable to everyone.
