Early Monday morning, Business Insider published a long feature article called ‘Mutiny at Great Jones: How a cofounder war led every employee to quit Instagram’s trendiest cookware company’. The story quickly made the Twitter rounds; maybe you’re one of the half-dozen who had sent me the link before lunchtime.

My interest in the topic is greater than usual: Great Jones, founded in 2018 by childhood friends Sierra Tishgart and Maddy Moelis, was the first company I wrote about when launching The New Consumer in early 2019.
